The policy of O’Reilly Training Ltd is to conduct its affairs so as to ensure, so far as is reasonably
practicable, the safety, health & welfare of all employees’ customers, and others who may be
affected by our work and activities. O’Reilly Training Ltd will achieve its Health & Safety objectives by
ensuring the following:
• Work activities are managed so as to ensure the safety, health and welfare of our employees
• The safety statement is maintained and updated, hazards are identified, risk assessments
and rated based on a quantitative approach of likelihood by severity. High risk items are
controlled first. The risk assessments are carried out and reviewed as required and brought
to the attention of all employees at least annually
• Commitment to fulfil legal and other requirements that relate to our company and operations
• Consultation and participation of workers
• On the results of risks assessments protective and preventive measures are implemented and
• maintained to reduce risk to a minimal level.
• Improper conduct likely to put an employee’s safety and health at risk is prevented
• A safe place of work is provided, and adequately designed and maintained
• A safe means of access and egress is provided
• Safe equipment is provided
• Safe systems of work are provided
• Risks to health from any article or substance are prevented
• Appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision are provided
• Where hazards cannot be eliminated, adequate arrangements, including the provision of
suitable personal protective clothing and equipment, will be put in place to reduce the risk
of injury
• Emergency plans are prepared and revised including rescue procedures
• Welfare facilities are provided and adequately maintained or for remote work closest facilities
will be communicated.
• Competent personnel will be utilised to advise and assist in securing the safety, health and
welfare of employees are employed when required.
• Competence of any sub-contractors will be subject to a pre-approval process based on
trainingresources and experience.
• A positive safety culture based on continuous improvement will be fostered within the
company and safety incentives will be in operation.
O’Reilly Training Ltd shall commit the necessary resources in ensuring that the objectives and targets
of the policy can be achieved.
It is understood that this policy cannot be achieved solely by management. O’Reilly Training Ltd are
committed to a process of full consultation in this matter and the views of all employees are
considered. The Safety Statement will be made available to all employees and to other interested
parties upon request.
The Safety Statement System will be reviewed by Damien O’Reilly at least annually and revised as
necessary to meet any change in operations. The Safety Statement will also be brought to the
attention of employees at least annually or as soon as any changes occur within the company.
