CPCS -Construction Plant Certification Scheme – Were formally run and funded by CITB – Construction
Industry Training Board which is a UK Government body. CPCS have now been bought by NOCN, a private body with no experience in construction training.
NPORS – National Plant Operators Registration Scheme – were set up in 1992 as an alternative to CPCS / CITB.
